A Musical History

Two years ago, I started MoonDog Media, a music and sound production company based in Austin, Texas. Since that time, MoonDog Media has gone on to score close to 100 commercial and independent projects, including work for Dell & IBM as well as independent feature films, tv/radio commercials, and cell-phone/console game titles.

Finding Images That Capture & Inspire

In that same time, I took my photography hobby to a new level by starting Eric Doggett Studios, a wedding/portrait photography business. I am very grateful to be afforded the opportunity to photograph weddings and families throughout Texas!

Creative Merging

Being very interested in both creative pursuits, I was searching for ways to link them. After looking into the DVD/slideshow market, I discovered that photographer's choices were very limited - they either used poorly written music, or used copyright performances (risking trouble down the line). That's when I decided to create Music For Photography. As a photographer, I am writing the music with a slideshow or website in mind.

For writing, I've used the best sounds and orchestral simulations available on the market today as well as live players wherever possible. After each track is written, it's properly mixed to ensure the best balance between all the instruments so that every nuance can be heard. From there, all tracks are mastered. This necessary step keeps the volume levels between all tracks consistent, so that one is not overly louder or softer than another. Each track comes in 3 flavors - a full-resolution version (for your most demanding dvd projects), and 2 mp3 versions at different quality levels for websites and online album previews.
